hey guys, been on here for a little while but i think this may be my first post. Hopefully some of you are familiar with this particular machine as it was a goofy transition year to the 05. I did a 3 headlight relay mod on it and i discovered it has a load shedding ground which basically reduces power to the headlights when the battery voltage is low (engine not running) by supplying some voltage to the headlight ground, via some little electronic box under the ecm from what i've read so far. So here's my problem, because of this backfeed, my relay will stay powered on sending power to my low beams after i shut the machine off, but not always. I'm thinking i could put a diode in the path to stop the backfeed or just ground everything to the chassis and bypass the load shedding ground altogether. Has anyone bypassed this thing? any issues with charging if lights get full power all the time?
