What should a 2004 500 HO be idling at? and how can it be adjusted? My 2012 800 is between 1200-1300rpm, but the 500 is sitting at about 950rpm and sounds to be bogging out.

1200 +/-200 is what both my 500 and 700 call for. They are EFI and therefore cant be adjusted. They both actually idle between 1175-1225. I do notice that neither one shifts easily until they settle down to 1225 or less. If I try shifting them from forward to reverse or vise versa quickly when I'm plowing they shift hard unless a wait few seconds for the idle to settle.

as long as it idles and doesnt want top die, the slower the better so its not hard to shift or wanting to creep
