2004 500ho starting issue

Hi all need some advice from you guys. I bought a 2004 500 ho as kind of a winter project bike turns over but will not fire. I have spark pulled the plug and checked that. Fuel going to carb and also in to the cylinder. She turns over great but just won't fire up. Any thoughts?
Wondering if it could be a compression issue? Have to try and test this on the weekend if it could be
I've ordered a Clymer manual as I've got a 2001 500 ho too but I thought maybe someone else here may have had a similar issue.
Thanks in advance.

Carb was rebuilt by a shop they showed me the receipt. So not sure what that would do but I'll give it a shot. Guess maybe the shop ripped them off.
2004 to 2006 sportsmans had a recall for the ECM...wonder if yours is bad?

If you have fuel and your spark is good it should fire...hows the coil?
Checked the coil tested good accord to specs in the manual both primary and secondary.
Compression tested at 88 psi so that's good.
Does the ecm control the timing? That would be my next step I think.
