Newbie. Looking at a magnum 330. All good except electric start. Owner says it needs a starter. How much of a job is this. Searching on the forums includes many other models and looks like it means pulling the clutch cover and one of the clutches. Owner says its an easy hour.
Somebody tell me from experience please! Also posted in maintenance and repair forum.

I've never personally done a magnum 330 but it appears to a similar setup as a sportsman 500. If you remove the outer clutch cover and exhaust duct, remove the seat and air box, you can change the starter without having to remove the clutches and inner cover. The one bolt is tight to get to and must come out and go back in with the starter but it can be done. Its not necessarily an EASY hour but should be doable in close to that time. I'd rather take two hours and a couple cold ones to make the job more enjoyable lol.

1) thats why i, a newbie to ATVs, am here asking. I have sleds and garden tractors so i can fix, but somethings are not worth getting into.
2) I had thought that something else could be wrong.Possibly multiple things could be wrong. He had a guy look at it -he said...and that guy told him it needed a starter and that it was an hour job...
