My father in law has a 2004 Polaris 700 started running like crap so he sent it to a mechanic who said it was harness to tbap so he fixed the broken wires still ran like crap so he replaced the sensor once again ran like crap he then said it needed fuel pump so he did that now it runs better but said it ain’t running like it should and said it will only go to about 40 mph has anyone had this issue before?

Hey Jfeezer,
Have you checked your fuel pressure? I would double check the fuel pressure regulator is still properly providing the 43 psi needed for the application. I found a replacement fuel pressure regulator with Quantum. QFS Fuel Pressure Regulator For Polaris Sportsman 700 2004-2007, Replaces 2204719

Check the fuel pressure
