Was out on a good run about two sundays ago now. I noticed that my bike was bogging out and going up very minimal speeds up steep hill. What could this b? Where do I start? Should I have been in low range on this bike? I do know i for got to do that.

You should be in low gear on any Polaris when traveling for longer periods at 10-15MPH or less, when towing or hauling a heavy load, plowing, etc. As far as what could cause the speed loss, first thing to check is the buttons in the secondary clutch. They are likely worn out and keeping the secondary from opening up and shifting out.

Any update on this??? I was experiencing same thing with my '08 Sportsman 400. Going uphill it started bogging down as if it was running out of fuel. There is no low gear... Just forward and reverse.

I'm also chewing through batteries. Just put a brand new one in, ran it for a day of riding and parked it. Now it's dead. Help!
