Hi, I am having problems with my 2004 sportsman 600 stalling. I have changed all the filters, the plugs, oil......it idles at 1150-1200 RPM's is very smooth while idling, but for no apparent reason while I am riding it & I slow down it quits. It does start right back up, but I would like to know what is going on & how to fix it. Has anyone out there had a similar problem, if so what did you do to fix it. Thanks.

I have that problem the first time I ride for the season. I do use stabilzer but always have a problem until the 2nd tank of fresh gas. :)

Thanks, I actually used my sportsman all winter plowing with it so it always had fresh gas put into it.....thought I had the problem cured until I went out trail riding last week, and once it got warm it started the stalling again.

I had the same problem with my 2004 Sportsman 600. When I would let up on the gas it would backfire and stall. I found the intake manifold to be cracked.
