I bought a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI from a buddy recently and I can’t get the brakes to work very well. I replaced the pads and bled them, but still no stopping power. Foot brake doesn’t work well either. There are plenty of posts on the rear brakes not working well, but I can’t seem to find anything on none of the brakes working. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure what you mean. I used a C clamp to push the caliper piston back in so that the new pads fit over the rotor (same as I do on cars). Is there a way to adjust the pads?

Yes there's a pad adjustment. There almost like a car. There is an Allen screw on the back of the caliper that's part of the slider. It's the upper slider. So what you do is tighten it until the pad comes in contact with the rotor. Then back it off 1/2 turn or 180°.

I’ll give that a try. Probably going to be a few days until I can get to it. I’ll get back to you once I’ve adjusted them. Thank you for the help.
