If you have 12 volts at the starter motor, then you have a bad ground or a bad starter motor
Cleaned all grounds and it started. Took it out for 1p minutes and shut it off for 20 minutes and it wouldn't start. I moved wires and it still won't start. The starter is new (after market cheapo). The starter felt really hot , even after sitting for 20 minutes. If you have 12 volts at the starter motor, then you have a bad ground or a bad starter motor
Did you ever figure out what the problem was? This just happened to us so I'm researching and hoping to get to the bottom of it.The engine light and overheat icon came on. Motor stared to sputter and lose power. I shut off the machine and now it won't start. The motor has sat for several hours and still won't start. Turn key and instrument pod turns on but will not turn over when I turn the key. Starter is not even engaging. There is 12 volts at the starter. Could it be the starter relay in the fuse box? Where is the starter solenoid on this machine. Any ideas?
