Was wondering if anyone knows of a lift for a 2010 300 sportsman? I have searched everywhere and cant find one. It currently has 22 inch tires and would like to put 25 inch tires on it. Is this atv the same as a hawkeye, or small differences? Thanks in advance.

By no-means do I want to still your thread. But I think we looking for the same answers. I just bought a 2010 Polaris 500 H.O. and a 2010 Sportsman 300 for my son for Christmas. So I've been researching about putting larger tires and rims on my 500. Started seeing things about clutch kits. I'm not to happy about the factory size tires on the 300. So I started researching clutch kits for the 300 to pull the 25" off my 500 to put on it.

I came across this on this forum. By Firehawk 1-18-2009 under performance modifications.

"I've done several mod's to my 2007 Hawkeye that have really improved the performance. First I drilled the carb slide, installed a Dynojet kit, removed 2 rollers from the clutch, and lastly mounted up a SuperTrapp IDSX muffler.

The SuperTrapp muffler really opened it up, plus it sounds nice too IMO. While it still is not a rocket, it seems to have much more torque (umph). The muffler is one that is for a 2005 800 Sportsman. You will have to fab up a mounting bracket since the 800 exits on the right side, and the Hawkeye exits from the left. The bracket is easy to make up, and other than that the muffler is "bolt on".

So if your like me, not wanting/needed a huge overweight quad, but are not happy with the performance of a stock Hawkeye, you can make it perform much better with a few easy mods."

Now the guy at my Polaris dealer told me I could use Polaris 500 front strut lifts for the front "one that goes between the top of strut and mount." but would have to fab a 'Z" shape bracket to lift the rear on the spring/shock something like they use on the 500's. Which now looking at it I think I could do.

Thinking about taking the brand new tires and rims off my 500 and sticking them on my sons 300 with a 2" lift kit. I'm gonna get new 26" and rims for mine.

300 stock tire and rim size.
Front: AT22X7-12 on 12X5.0 rim
Rear: AT22X10-12 on 12X8.0 rim

Wanting to put on the 300 off my 500.

Front: AT25X8-12 on 12X6.0 rim
Rear: AT25X11-12 on 12X8.0 rim both AT489 Carlisle's.

If I fix carb? Add pipe? K&N filter? Clutch kit? Will all this work on the 300?

Sorry for all questions but I think we might have the same ideals and trying to get expert addvice.
