Can anyone help? I have a 2010 Polaris Sportsman 500 with less than 5 hours on it. Over the weekend I took it to the deer lease and it wont stay started. It runs like a champ as long as Im on the throttle, but as soon as I release the throttle, it dies. It starts right back up but will die if im not giving it gas.

One of the simplest things is to check your choke to make sure that its in the correct position. Is it hard to start? There could be a issue with slack in the throttle cable also.

Welcome to to a great forum.

It's under warranty - take it back and let them fix it. Most likely it's the TPS, Throttle Position Sensor?

pilot jet could be too lean. they arent jetted for the area they are shipped to, so it might be too lean for the elevation and temperature you are running it in.

as phil suggested, if the dealer is convient to get to, just get it fixed under warranty. that way, if any similiar problems come up, this will be recorded as a problem and solution.

...and i moved this to the repair and maintenance section......
