I have a stock 2010 850 (72 HP).
I have Black Diamond 28's on it.
The stock belt worked fine until I sunk it and got it wet. I drained it and dried it out.

At this point I want to replace it. I will NOT be changing the clutching, or doing anything else.

My question is this:
Stock OEM replacement or other brand?

I use low range at all appropriate times and will break it in properly.

Is there an advantage to using the new Gates Carbon belt?

I prefer the OEM belts all around. The gates Kevlar is a much harder compound and will change things a bit. The primary will not be able to grab it as hard as the OEM so RPM will be a little higher throughout the speed range in any gear. It will be easier to slip the belt as well.
