Hey guys I have got an outlaw 50cc quad here and when we start the bike on level ground it slowly takes off and gathers speed ok. If the bike tries to go up any type of incline from stop it won’t move anywhere regardless of how much throttle we give. If we start the bike on a downhill slope and gain enough throttle and momentum it will go up it albeit a bit slow but with enough run up it will go up any slope fine.

It’s like the bike just doesn’t have enough go in it to get up any hill. I had a mate bring his same bike over and it handles the incline fine from stop start.

Any suggestions?

Could it be a carry issue or a clutch issue?

Thanks
Matt

It could be; chain too tight, brakes dragging, bad belt, clutch issue, tire pressure too low, throttle limiter set too low, wheel bearing issue, weight of the rider or something else - keep in mind it was only designed to operate on a 15 degree or less slope.
