Hey, guys I have a 2013 polaris ranger 800 crew. Hasnt been ran in about a year. You have to use a shot of starter fluid in the intake for it to crank cold. Once it cranks it idles fine. Have to breath on the gas for a couple mins or it will stutter and die until warmed up. Once warmed up it cranks and runs like the day it was bought. Thanks in advance.

do you know what they need to be at?
Just more bad info from FPD!! Never mind him That's just a normal day for him on the interwebs spreading misinformation.

No need to adjust your valves. First do you have any engine codes? Then I would check your battery connections. Then you're charging system output. Then I'd grab a fuel pressure reading.

It has a few engine code. Im pretty sure all of them i saw were for the power steering not working. Im trying to do without the powersteering. I just want it to crank when i want to crank it.

Sounds like you have a battery and potential charging system issue. I would rectify those no pun intended, first!!

The EFI needs to be checked and the TBAP sensor may not be informing the ECU to turn the injector on for an increased period of time to enrich the fuel to air ratio to ease cold starting. Get it plugged into Digital Wrench to have the EFI diagnosed.
