Hi everyone, I have a 2013 sportaman 400. I have it built up for mudding. 27"x9x12 mega mayhems, wildboaratv rad relocation kit, home made snork (done the right way). I have not yet backed up the axles but that time as come and I busted up my back axles and my fronts a week before that. So right now I'm sitting with my quad on jacks and can not drive. I have ordere rhino axles for the rear but we're out of stock for the front. I could really use the help on getting my axles out. I heard you just push and pull hard and it should pop out but that won't work now because the upper CVs are just a shell now and the axles will not go back in. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks Reid.
Yeah welder would be just fine in ur situation cause ur axles r toast. Fyi I have done some research on suitable oem axle upgrades for non lifted bikes and highlifter dht's are said to be of a slightly higher quality the the rhinos because the boots are better quality so if the rhinos are to far out verify my findings and see if they might be a possibility for u.
Ya I think i will try to weld some chain to it. I have looked at the outlaw DHT they are 100$ more then the rhinos. Since I have already ordered the axles I'm not going to replace them now. And rhino back axles will be fine for me. I never actually broke a stock back axle from tires or loading up an axle. It was just the fronts that have me problems.
Ok how would I hit the sprig ring. I stuck my finger In my CV to see if I could find that ring or like a clip that I could have opened but I cand find nothing todo with the ring
I'm sorry I should have been a little clearer when I said "hit the spring ring". I was referring to al53's comment on anti-seizing the splines. I just wanted u to make sure and get anti-seize on the ring because that's the part that gets jammed up.
Ok I get what ur saying. I'll hit them with a hammer later today. Thanks for all ur help
