So I’ve been having this issue where on deceleration my belt will start to flop around and hit the top of the clutch cover. It is most noticeable right before the clutch releases and the ATV freewheels. I purchased the quad in 2015 and about mid 2016 is when I noticed it doing this. It’s done it ever since without really any issue but recently it has been starting to put a lot of wear on my belts. I do have oversized tires so a few months ago I installed a clutch kit but that didn’t help with the problem. I did notice a fair amount of wear on all the clutch components but did not notice anything significantly wrong. I’ve tried shimming the secondary clutch out and in and tried new motor mounts with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The secondary is sticking a little and not back shifting/closing fast enough. If you take the driven clutch apart and inspect the teflon coated bearings you'll probably find they're showing more brass than teflon (gold vs. black). If so, they need replaced. Number 10 and 11 in the pic.

That seems the most likely. I did notice a fair amount of wear the the secondary buttons when I installed the clutch kit. I'll take a look at those bearings here shortly
