Anyone else notice the shift lever on the H.O's work 10X better than the 570? I was in the dealer the other day and just touching the new machines and noticed the 400H.O's shift lever shifts a lot smoother without even being broken in and you always find the right gear, on my 570 its a lot more stiff and I'm constantly putting it in "a half gear" it makes a really bad sound and I don't want to damage anything, I even wiggle it before I press the gas to make sure its in place and sometimes it seems to slip out of gear, dealer looked and said its fine, also how is shifting out of park on your 400's/500's on a steep incline? The 570 is brutal I have to rock it back and forth.

My 400's shifter isn't as smooth as you're assuming. I've actually noticed the different feel when I try my friend's machines. Some move gear-to-gear really easily and smoothly. Some you have to force into every gear. Idk what it is, but some of them just shift better then others. It doesn't appear that there's anything wrong with the 'tighter' ones. Yes, on a hill, mine is pretty tough to pull out. I dont have to break the bar to get it out, but it takes some muscle. Occasionally I find myself between gears, but it hasn't really caused a problem for me yet. Just pop it in.
