Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. I have a 2020 sportsman 570 I have a issue where the Brake Lights stay on as if I'm on the brakes. I bled the front brakes to try and maybe release some pressure if that was causing it. It didn't seem to help the issue. I found the manifold where the pressure sensor is at for the brakes. I can't reach the plug to pull it out and I'll have to pull off the front end plastics. Is there anything else that can be causing this issue? I really don't want to remove the plastics If I don't have too or take it in for a service if I don't have too.

Welcome to the forum ! Glad to have you . I’m sure someone here can help you troubleshoot this .

maybe stop all attempts to repair it at this point that’s the best thing to do for now ...

Thanks! Glad to be here! Hopefully someone can but I'm pretty sure my pressure sensor has gone bad. I heard alot of them have been on the 2020 models. But that's the only issues I have with it and once in awhile my throttle position sensor throws a code. But goes away.

If you don't want to take it in for the service, then start removing the plastics - 90% of all service on a quad requires removing some plastic and on some a simple job (like changing a spark plug) becomes an ordeal - why does it cost $120 to change an $8 spark plug? Because on some machines you have to remove the bumper, front rack, side panels, front fender and fuel tank just to get to the spark plug.

My CRF race bike is not too bad - remove the seat, remove 4 bolts from the radiator shrouds, one bolt from the front tank mount, rubber strap from the rear of the tank and in less than 15 minutes you have access to the spark plug.

I agree I have no problem removing the plastics but would like to prevent doing so if I can but doesn't seem like I can in this situation. That's what I will do then and see if this fixes the issue or I might have to buy a new sensor. Tried doing this when I was upnorth at Saint Helen here in Michigan. But no tools lol. Lucky I didn't.

Make sure you simply dont have a shorted bulb, where the tail light element is laying on the brake light element inside of either brake light bulb causing the short

I've done this already. I took out the bulbs and both elements broke after I took them out for some reason. They seem to be very fragile. So I bought new ones but still have the issue. When I squeeze the brake lever or rapidly squeeze it I can see the light flicker to the normal state but reverts back to being on.

I am having the same issue with my 2020 Sportsman 570 the brake lights stay on and the brake lever is quite firm, I have Polaris extended warranty but it will take the local dealer three weeks just to look at my machine kind of annoying to have it down for a month. Has anyone changed theirs out?

Sounds like the master cylinder may be over full / over pressurized. I'd pull the lid and check the level.

Just wanted to post an update as of December 16, 2021, I installed a new Polairs brake pressure switch as it’s the most common failure point from what I have found posted online, did the brake bleeding, topped off the system to the line with fresh DOT 4 fluid. I also checked the master cylinder before making sure it was ok and the fluid was at the line beforehand.
So it didn’t work my lights still stay on, one notable observation is that when I pull the hand brake lever I use to hear a microswitch type of noise that I don’t hear ever since this started.
My unit runs fine it’s just that my lights are not working and the brake handle still feels a bit firmer than normal.

Same issue. I got 2 brand new 2022 570s. One has this issue. The brake light stay on and after some driving you start getting messages to release the break. There is no drag. Brakes work excellent. I found a sensor behind foot brake, if I disconnect then no brake lights at all. If I play with plug the lights work correctly until I drive for 15 mins.

Look like I'll need dealer service which is 2+ hour drive.

Same issue with my 2022 trail. Ordered an new switch to try but pulled a tad on the master cylinder plunger and the issue went away for a day then came back. Brakes are not dragging. Tried draining some fluid and cracked the bleed valve. Same issue. Going to replace the switch tomorrow and try it.

Hi, did you solve your broblem? I bought 2022 Sportsman 570 Trail week ago and on my first ride "release brake" massage poped up with chek engine light. When I disconected rear brake switch all massages are gone, bit quad stoped start, evend didnt crank.
