Ignition wires were cut and need to know which color goes where. I have a new ignition swtch.

do you have the old plug that fits in switch..or was that gone....ok looking at my manual now its for a 02 not a 04..but may be the same...its a 4 prong plug ......looking at the wires...with the plug in normal position facing you....

A slot shows 2 red wires

B slot shows 2 black wires

c slot shows 2 brown wires....
d slot shows 2 red/black wires...

if your wires are the same this may work

i just seen yours is a 6 pin....so i went to look at mine online as a replacement..its shows mine as a 6 pin also..so maybe they just use the 4 pins.....hmmmm

All i have is wires
orange red black some with stripes

ok then my wires are different color coded an no help

Anyone come up with any info.
all schematics I have looked at dont tell wire colors.
I hate to play a guessing game with wires.
2 red with black stripes are together via the stock terminal that pulled out of the plug. should be main hot I would think.

you need to look at a Polaris shop manual ..the schematics in there will show wire codes...or go to a Polaris dealer and ask them to show you the pin lay out....there is a guy here who sells digital shop manuals cheap..same one polaris uses....thats your best bet....
