I just bought a 2007 Honda Recon ES for my son as he's outgrowing his 90cc Sportsman. It needs new rear tires and I was thinking of replacing the stock 22x10-9 tires with 25x11.00-9 Maxxis Zillas. (it's either a 20, 22, or 25 tire for the 9" wheels) - They will fit with some trimming.

I'm also thinking of putting 24x8.00-11 Zillas on the front so they match. I know, it's only 2wd, but they look ridiculous with the little 22's up front and 25's out back.

Anyone have any thoughts on that? Any pics of 25" tires on 9" rims?

Thanks for the help!

A lot of the older quads had 25" tires on 9" wheels, mainly because of the lack of a decent suspension on the older quads. You may find the ride to be bouncy. Air pressure would be critical to make the tire soft without too much rebound in the tire itself.

Installed them on my son's Recon yesterday.

25x11-9 Zillas on the rear, 24x8-11 Zillas on the front.
