I currently have the 3 light mod using the diode option. I am interested in upgrading to HID headlights my understanding is that HID uses more power initially then as they warm up power requirements decrease. Will my diode solution fail for the extra load? I was planning on only running the lowbeams until they warmed up then adding the upper headlight.

I know some people are shunning the diode solution and going with the relay solution. which I understand because they want to prevent switch failure. But what i Do not see are all the diode users threads stating they have fried their switch because of the diode mod.

some input from diode HID users would be nice. or any other thoughts on this would be great. I hope I have explained this correctly.

I agree, have not saw one thread yet on it. That is the kit I plan on adding.

Either kit better than the other. I mean as in the 5000 vs 6000. Any draw backs on either one vs the other?

You will not be disappointed. HIDs should come standard on ATVs.
