Cool site glad this place is here!
I have a 95 Magnum 425 4 stroke 4x4 and I am having an issue where I only have ½ the power I used to. I had a snow plow and used two batteries for my winch to be more powerful and in the spring I had one fall off and touch the frame….this power surge blew all my lights and my CDI box. I have now replaced my cdi and it has made my and four wheel drive work again and I replace all the lights. I still only have ½ the power. If I run it down a trail with bumps the engine will get full power but, just for a second until I hit the next big bump. I can’t think where to start looking. This had a fresh motor not too long ago and it seems to be electrical but?????? Could a bad ground somewhere cause a problem like this? I have looked around with no luck yet. Thanks for reading.

The coil wire could be bare and shorting out or a bad plug cap. There could be a loose magnet on the flywheel or a broken wire going to the stator. You could also have other ground issues. Good Luck!
