Hello, looking for purchase scrambler, but the problem is that the vin number is incomplete and I want to make sure that it’s not stolen. Can you tell me what should be the fourth vin number letter?

Hi, thanks for your help. Got a little bit confused here to be hones; found somewhere that in case of Polaris first three letters are 4XA (indicating manufacturer), 4th one is model type - would that be correct? If yes, what would be 4th letter for Scrambler?

Cheers

Here's an example from a 2006 Scrambler 500:
VIN - 4XABG50AX62070619
Polaris Model designation - A06BG50AA (A06 = year BG50A = Scrambler A = color or option)
4 = made in USA
XA = Polaris
BG50A = model
X = check digit or security code
6 = model year
2 = assembly plant
070619 = production sequence
