Well it's the coldest it's been in a long time down here in Mississippi and I decide to go riding today. Well problems started trying to get my 2011 sportsman 500 going today. I let it sit running for about 30 mins, put it in reverse and it wouldn't even move. Well after about another hour I finally get it going. I pull up to a water(well, ice) hole and put it in 4wd, even said it was in 4wd on the gauge. Well about halfway through of course i get stuck and notice the front wheels aren't turning. I don't know if the cold has anything to do with it but I need some help figuring out what I need to do.

You have water in something. Its -30 here and all of my machines work fine. Heat it up and drain the tranny and diff fluids and might as well do the motor oil as well. Water freezes and makes stuff bind until it melts. I would bet that would cure your ills provided it worked before.
