Today I changed my Oem springs on my 2019 sportsman 570 sp touring and discovered that the spring next
to my exhaust showed significant heat marks on it like it had been burned. One other thing I noticed that it was about a 1/2” shorter than the others. Do y’all think the heat from the exhaust could’ve caused this. I also noticed the bump stop was burned and crispy.

Is there a hole in the exhaust directing the hot gas towards these items?

I have had a similar issue with my 2016 570.The bump stop bushing on the exhaust side keeps crumbling apart. 570 exhaust temperatures run much hotter than the other sportsmans I've owned.

So. Here’s my dilemma. I have a 2019 sportsman 570 touring sp that I bought new in March of 2019. I have no modifications. I’ve got 1065 miles and have had to replace the regulator, two batteries, rear shocks bump stops. Just the other day my check engine light came on after 12 miles of riding. The previous two times it was followed by a code that indicated overcharging of battery and then it would die leaving me stranded. This time there was no code and no dead battery. Any idea what would cause the engine light to come on. I’m so tired of this machine not being dependable. Please help or I’m going to sell and move on to can am.

Hello all. I figured out my engine light problem. I was able to get it to come on and checked for a code. It was showing 7-520194. which means the throttle was sticking. It was dead on the money when I turned the bars all the way to the right the rpm would increase and the same when turned to the left. I adjusted the throttle cable and problem solved. :giggle:

Update on exhaust heat. I noticed two exhaust leaks one where the pipe connects to the muffler and one upfront where the header pipe connects to the exhaust pipe. Both have gaskets but both are leaking. I’m going to replace the gaskets but my question is. Has anyone replaced the exhaust springs with something better? I think they are too weak to keep pipes from leaking.
