Has anyone ever tried to replace-rebuild-or manufacture your own coil/magnet in a front differential.
I have seen replacement covers with the coil in it- that has to be another way -as to not spend that kind of money.
I am on a very low budget and trying to fix this.
There has to be another person like me who tries to fix everything.
If Polaris can get the part to put in the case then it has to be available somewhere.

FIXED.... Magnet working great now..

Well after closer look, the 2 metal rings on each side of the coil were pitted and rough. I sanded then smooth- they are still raised above coil. Now when I apply 12V the armature sticks tight to them and I cannot turn it. The New armature plate, rollers, H-clips, Bearings, and seals- working like it should on the bench. It will be some time before I get her back in and the engine rebuilt - before I can road test it.
