Have you guys ever had one of those moments where you forget the basics and break something. Yea, that was me. I broke my oil drain plug on my 02 700 and in the process of trying to get the threaded part out of the crankcase, I pushed it in. I've searched google high and low for help or pointers about this scenario (I believe if I look hard enough, I'd find the answer cause I can't be the only wanna be mechanic out there doing dumb things.)

Is there an easy way to get this thing out without cracking the crankcase open? In looking my engine over, I see something that looks like a 3/4" freeze plug on the right side of the engine (See photo) Can I just pop this out and fish the broken plug out with a magnetic pickup tool?

Thanks for the help guys. I've learned a lot from this forum.
