Hello everyone, new to Polaris owner, I purchased a used 2013 with @ 80hrs/800 miles that had the engine repaired by a dealer, seems to run well and not having any problems with it at the moment, ordered new ngk plugs to install this morning and will do a compression test while there just for reference, ill order a service manual latter today and wait for it to arrive, in the meantime is there a general range of what to expect on compression ? Thanks in advance !

New they are in the 180 to 200 range. Anything close to that and you should be fine.

could my cylinder be nikasil coated ? any way to determine without opening ?

850's are not nikasil coated.

If you google it some of the early 09's used the nikasil coated cylinders. Polaris had 2 part number for the engines.

I seen in the service manual i believe that the case number on the block can tell you if it is or not. 1 letter i believe tells it all.
