Got a new 2010 850xp on Tuesday and am looking for new tires and a plow. I got my viper max 4000# winch today. What plows will work with this setup? Also would like to see some different tires mounted on the 850xp with no lift. Thanks for all replies.

You can run up to 27" tires on an XP with no mods. Any plow will work with your winch. I have a moose plow that works very well, but the Glacier series from Polaris are pretty slick!

Well not necessarily a trail tire but somthing with better tread in a 26" or 27". I usually ride trail but some rocks, mud , loose dirt, and snow too I would like to see pics of bighorns or pitbull rockers on a 850xp if anyones got em.

The winch description said will not work with glacier plow. But I'll check out the moose one thanx. What did you do with the wimpy rear receiver is there a kit to beef it up or something. Thanx
Your winch must mount in a different spot for. The Glacier not to work. The moose will work then as it connects to the bottom of the ATV with a push bar.

I have seen a kit to change the small recover hitch into a full size one. Incant remember where i saw it but they are out there just google it.

I have seen photos of all of those tires on this forum you just have to look around a bit and all of them look good, but ita all about tue traction at the end of the day. You will not be disappointed with any of the ones mentioned. GBC, ITP, or Maxxis they are all great choices.

Yeah I'm looking for more of a trail tire like a big horn or pitbull rocker. Anyone have pics of these on there 850
26" on stock wheels, the 26x11 rears on stock wheels make the quad 49.5" wide. If you go aftermarket wheels it will be 53" wide.

Really hard to beat the look of horns with the wrap around tread. Yes everyone and there uncle has the same tire. Wonder why? I would like to be different and even looked into Pitbull tires even had a big discount but decided the weight difference not price was the stopper. I can afford any tire, but the Pitbulls are just to heavy to be efficient in my opinion vs Bighorns.

Smoothbassman- All of those 2" conversion's for the receiver say that they will not work for the 2010 850xp. They're for the 2009 only. If you fin one for the 2010 please let me know.
Appears that the rear end changes to make the swaybar work better took the options away on the 2" receiver.

You better believe my Horns are good in snow. On my Brute I busted trails for the group many times when we ride. Look at these pics and you will know why hand and thumb warmers are #1 on my list of must. This is Arizona where I ride. I busted these trails with Big Horns, they are great in the snow.
Edit: I have a friend that put 8500 miles on a set and ran his brute out of oil , blew the engine and tires still had plenty of tread. Awesome tire just run a couple pounds air in snow and they do great.

Here is me at Jacob Lake Arizona same 70 mile trip with brute and horns and a better pic of Big Horns how they float on snow if you let the air down. Was not really that deep in this pic but they will go in very deep snow and keep your speed up,.
