hi im new here so forgive me if this question has been asked befor..
i have a 94 trail boss 250 that when at a stop requires you to pull the throttle pretty hard befor it starts to move.. is this normal? or is there a way i can "fix" the response time on this..
note that it has a brand new chain and and semi new clutch, everything else i believe is origanal except the throttle cable was replaced but 3 years ago..
and it was parked for 2 years..
if anyone can help i could appreciate it..
thank you..

Welcome and good evening!!

Sure there is! Its in your tranny and it called the CVT. Pull the cover, clean everything out with come compressed air and safety glasses for you. Then dress the sheaves with some elbow grease and scotch brite pads. Look at the belt, if its not been changed, its had a good life, buy and install a new one.

Then time to check the inner workings, maybe just change out the springs, buttons and look at the weights for wear, for new ones.

See if the clutch doesn't work properly and efficiently it will do just what your experiencing.
