Just picked up a 95 sportsman. First atv for me... the pull rope is snapped. I read all the forums i could find and there are great instructions. except i cant find how to get the one bolt off the recoil cover that is behind the rear brake lever. There is a hole through the frame, but the brake lever wont move out enough to get any tool clearance through that hole
Any advice? Its the only stinking bolt i cant get to
Would love to, but not sure it possible... any ideas on howto remove it?. I cantget behind it, and after undoing the spring, still does not move enough out of the way
Although the petal can be removed by taking out two cotter keys, I ended up notching mine out just enough to get a socket and extension through. It didn't seem to damage the integrity of the petal at all and it's much easier to get to.
