i was gonna change my spark plug today and i pulled the wire out of the boot, any fixes for that or do i need ot order a new coil assy. i hope not cause they are 180 bucks.

naw. pull the boot out as well. it should have a little screw inside the boot. you may need to nick a little of the wire off to get a clean end on it if you still think you will have enough wire to reach. ( im talking cutting maybe a 1/4" off) then insert the wire into the boot, and start twisting the boot around. basically that little screw in there should bite into the spark plug wire and grab. and be careful next time. : )

let me know if this all works for you. i think that is how the OEM boots are.

i did just that , but i didnt cut anyoff, i wasnt sure you could do that, i have had a problem with it seeming to be loose. im gonna take it back off and cut off 1/4" and redo it, thanks

Any good ideas for getting the boot out without it shredding? I have an 01 500 and the boot is 4" deep into the head. I usually by a boot with each plug change, its how the dealer did the first ones.
