Any ideas on what to look into first.Fan doesnt turn on at all .Would a bad battery be culprit. It will run great when I pull start it for 15 min. then hot light comes on and smells like antifreeze. Is there a thermostat in these or bad sensor maybe?I just picked it up for cheap.Sorry, but not really up to par on polaris models at all.CAn I test the fan somehow? Thanks for any help?

The battery only provides start energy, sounds like either the fan is bad, or the temp sensor is bad, check the wires for continuity, and try jumping the fan wires off the battery, also check for loose or broken wires near the fan.

Happened to me twice over 6 years, the Temp sensor is bad. After the second time i jumpered it out and mounted a manual on off switch for the fan. Works great for me.
