Changed the front shocks made an error and the axle came out tearing the boot. I can replace the boot but how do I get the axle back in the hub?
I have tried everything I know to do. What is the trick. I have loosened the shock back up to give me some play. I also took the A Arm loose. What am I missing. This is not suppose to be this hard?
Thanks

you need to remove the bottom a arm completely that will give you enough room to slide it in when you pull the strut outwards.

I figured it out after talking to the dealership and looking at several diagrams.
There is a pin that connects the drive line to the front diff. right beside the front sprocket between it and the front universal joint. Drive it out then you can insert the splines correctly. You still have to tap the end to get it past the retaining ring but it goes back easily after that. I had already taken the lower A arm loose so that helped also.
Thanks,
