Anyone know what causes the lights to blow? Someone told me to ckeck or replace a resister? Something at the front of the machine?

All my lights blew on my 96 500. It happened when i took the battery out and rode it around for a few minutes without one. Not sure if my wires hit something or what. But had to replace all te bulbs including the odometer bulb.

they ment the regulator. its over charging and blowing the bulbs

I think on a Polaris it needs to have a battery on it or it will cause the voltage regulator to surge causing the bulbs to blow.

That sound about right. I'll see if I can find the voltage regulator. Sure wish there was a simple cure.

i noticed that my 97 xplorer 500 has blown low beam lights. i just got the machine so i am not sure what happened nor have i tried to fix the problem cause the hi beams work! let us know what you find out!
