I have a 95 scrambler which I took out after sitting a while. I noticed the temp light come on and the fan running. I check the radiator and it was very low. The reserve was empty. I saw antifreeze on the floor boards. Someone said the water pumps leak on these. Where is the water pump and how hard is it to get to? Any advice would be helpful!!!

Thank You
Mike

i take it ,it's a 500 if the cases are the same as my '03 you will need a water pump seal, it's behind the impeller and you will have to tear it up to get it out. when you get your parts be sure to pick up that lil o-ring and a new nut for the impeller

Just thought I would clarify Mike would have a two stroke 400 scrambler as Polaris did not make the 4 stroke 500 scrambler until 97. Which these machines have totally different bottom ends. As 4getful2 said replacing the impeller and new nut on the water pump is cheap insurance.
