grease it...oil changes...keep electrical connections clean and greased with dielectric grease...if you run mud and deep water alot...change diff fluids often....check radiator for stuff stuck to it...

use a stabilizer in your gas....I run a strong carb cleaner thru about every 5 weeks..like tech tron or berrry chem....they are a bit stronger than sea foam....

Use a battery maintainer when not in use..saves your battery an get longer life...

as far as performance ..there really is none unless you go mods....and not much gain cost wise...

As stated.... not much gain for no cost mods.

But, your cheapest & best "bang for the buck" will be better tires and a clutch kit!
