Check out Quadovator.com They have a quick, easy and cheap mod to do what you are wanting. Used it on the wifes 500 and it works great.

U can put your light switch in between high and low,you may have to play with it a bit but it will put both light on at the same time without any wiring changes

I dont know if I'm crazy....But on my 2011 550 low beams is the lower 2 lights and when I switch to high beams the pod light comes on and the lower lights stay on as well....giving me all 3 lights for high beams...my buddy's 850 is the same way.

Yeah Skizmo, all the XP's are wired like that. It's the non XP models that need the mod.

It is easy.

Get a Bosch 5 pin relay where this is the pin out

Pin 85 coil ground
pin 86 coil positive
pin 30 common
pin 87 normally open
pin 87A normally closed

Then locate your head light high beam and low beam wires (typically yellow and green) in the head light switch harness in the pod. Verify this with a Meter! You will need key on and turn the headlight switch to the high and low beam positions to check/verify accordingly.

Connect the low beam wire to pin 30 on the relay
Connect the high beam wire to pin 86 on the relay
Connect the Pin 85 to the cigarette lighter ground (brown)
Connect the pin 87 to the cigarette lighter power (orange/white)

Solder and seal it all up with electric tape or liquid electric tape and close the headlight pod back up

You are done
