Hello,, Can anyone tell me if the crank bearings are changable or if I have to buy a new crank for a Sportsman 600 twin..My Sportsman has a bad knocking in the lower end and I have not ripped it down yet..Just trying to get a idea before I tear into it...Any info would be great..

knocking in the lower end are usually the rod bearings worn out, or the main bearings worn out, as the quad/atv bearing set for the main bearings are ball bearings I think it's more likely that the rod bearings are the one's in need of attention, however i have been known to be wrong from time to time :susel:

bearings can be purchased separate for the crankshaft only!, the rods look like they're part of the crankshaft assembly, near as i can tell from the exploded parts diagram, you do not want to buy a new crankshaft! ( 600$$+) hth
