In the future I want to get exhaust (swamp series xl or maybe mbrp) also going to get a uni or twin air filter. I hear that an optimizer isn't needed when doing a slip on exhaust, when do I need one?

The more I keep reading the more conflicting info I come across. Some say you need the tuner with a slip on some don't. I understand that it varies year to year so with my 2014 850 xp do I need a tuner?

My 850 was still running rich with a big gun slip on and uni filter. I was told when you change the pipe is when you need a tuner.

White is lean, a grey is starting lean. You can run in the dark grey and be ok. I ran my race quad (outlaw 450) a dark grey for years and never had a problem. Worked great. But a light brown to tan is perfect.
