I'm torn on this. I love riding obviously, but I know a handful of people who've lived in moab for years and they say the past 10 years have just destroyed their town.

Last time I went was a few years ago, and it was jam-packed with people and machines everywhere. Nothing like when I used to go as a kid. I could see how living in that tiny little town with more tourists than residents who are all flooring their RZRs up and down the local streets would get overwhelming.

Even though it's one of the most prominent offroading sites in the west I don't really have any desire to go back.

I think part of that went away with side by sides. Not trying to overtly bash them here, because I have a rzr and enjoy them, but side by sides lower the barrier of entry to offroading to anyone with a wallet. There's a lot more people with a lot less skill out there on these machines than there was when it was just quads and bikes, and whenever more people start doing anything that's automatically going to increase the amount of shitty people doing it.

It definitely sucks, and as much as I wish everywhere was wide open to responsible ATVers, I kind of get where they're coming from.
