So I was out tinkering with my quads today and I wondered what my average miles per hour were on my Scrambler. It's the only quad I have that has an odometer and an hour meter.

603.5 miles / 55.5 hours = 10.9 average miles per hour


I do a lot of fast trails and I race in local cross country races, would've thought it would have been a higher average mph.

I was reading last week Polaris uses 10 MPH average speed when computing miles to service, etc so 10.9 makes you above average. :laugh2:

My machine sits idling quite a bit. Warming up, watching others doing silly stuff etc....if I were to immediately shut my machine off each time it would really add up.

I think my average is about 5 mph. Plowing snow results in a low average speed.

there is some nice falt open trails in Northern NH that you can get moving on in between the techincal stuff
