took lower control arms off the other day to replace bushing no problem but failed to insure the right side axle was into the splines on the cv joint , rode down drive way and back, today I took it apart and found problem was not good axle was in the bottom of cv and just riding 100 yards had buggered the splines a bit, had to remove roll pin and take axle off and use a file to straighten out the splines then took cv apart to clean it up and had to do the 3rd times a charm before I got it right, fun stuff replaced cv boot and put new brake pads on Lesson learned always double check axles are in cv joint when putting it back together :motz:

LOL...I feel your pain. You have to be real careful not to let the CV pop apart on disassembly and to double check when you start back together. Been there done that! It's a PITA and a hard lesson but I doubt you'll make that mistake again.
