I had a broke CV cup on my sportsman and was having a tough time getting it out. I found a cheap slide hammer at harbor freight that had the 3 jaw puller with it. Problem is the back side of the axle has a taper on it which makes it difficult to grab onto with the slide hammer.
Solution. Put the 3 jaws, or 2, onto the cv cup and clamp them down with a large hose clamp. I was able to pop the cup out easily and if you use a 2 jaw system you can make the tool for about $22.
