Hello,
Last September we bought a 570 Sportsman EPS for my wife. Brand new, 0 miles. Since day one, we have had battery issues. So I replaced the factory battery with a sealed battery from Advance Auto Parts. Completely charged the new battery prior to install. If the bike sits for more than a day, this battery is also dead. There are NO aftermarket electrical accessories added to her machine. Only new wheels and tires. Only thing not factory on the electrical system is a battery tender plug connected to the terminals under the headlight. I have the plug connected to the ground post (far left looking at the bike) and constant hot (far right looking at the bike). The middle post is unused.

What could be causing this battery drain? We turn use the handlebar on/off/on switch as well as using the key.

you would have to do an amp draw test with meter.
Does the battery go dead with tender installed?

A clock in the instrument cluster is a constant drain on the battery - disconnect the battery when setting and see if it goes dead - if it does it's a bad battery

Do you leave the "battery tender" connected all the time? If it's a trickle charger (mistakenly called a tender), it can over charge the battery and cause it to go bad. If the charger has more than 1.25 amps output and does not shut off automatically, it's not a Battery Tender (trademark)

If the battery does not go dead disconnected - unplug the rectifier/regulator and leave the battery connected - if id does not go dead, you have a faulty rec/reg

If the battery is defective, replace it with a quality AGM battery - don't buy from Battery Specialists, Interstate or other discount battery seller. Get a Yuasa, Odyssey or other renown brand.

It’s not a battery tender brand, but it’s a small 2 amp trickle charger. 2 amp max output, then it’s a float charger. Turns off as to not overcharge.

I’ll have to do a draw rest with my meter when I get a day off.

I have a 570 I bought new in april of 16. Its been bad since new . will sit for 2 weeks and start fine ,ride it and next day battery is dead. It has been hard starting since new also ,seems like when it gets up against compression stroke it wont turn over that and you have to keep bumping the key to get it to go. I had it in shop once for this and they said it was normal.
I just got a new agm battery that is 220 cca vs. the 190 stock and so far so good. Not sure if the dead battery problem is cured though. I read on here about the kill switch needing to be off so I will be doing that from now on also

I've got a 570 eps and have had electrical issues with it since I got it... This spring I drove it out to go turkey hunting and it would not shut off...I had to leave it running a half day then when I rode it back it did shut off... the battery acts weak all the time unless it just comes off a charger... you have to keep bumping the key to get it to go... sometimes it won't start. If you use the winch it will kill the machine and the battery. I've replaced the battery and the machine was better for a few weeks. I've had it for just over 1 year and it has left me stalled in the wood a dozen times...

I have the same issue with my 2017 570. It is stock with no aftermarket accessories. I have not been able to find a ghost draw with my multi meter. The charging system seems to be working fine.
I also replaced the battery but this did not help. I took the new battery to 2 different shops who said it was good and had a full charge.

Today I unplugged the regulator/rectifier and it fired right up. I plugged it back and it acted like a low battery. I repeated this process 3 times with the same results.

How can the regulator/rectifier affect starting like this? I didn't think it pulled any juice?

The rectifier can drain a battery if a diode has shorted out

He says if your looking at it he has the battery tender negative wired to the “left” post and red to “right” post or hot. Should be the opposite!

My 2017 Polaris 570 EPS battery will drain after it sets for a day or so. I put a charger on it where it has enough power to start. I took a test light to it with the four wheeler off thinking it is pulling power from somewhere. The "UNSWITCH 10A' 'EFI 10A' and 'FUEL PUMP 10A' Is hot all the time when the four wheeler is off. What might my issue be?

Pin 4, 12, 20, 28 and 35 (in the fuse box) are all hot with the key switch off

Okay, why do i always come to a dead four wheeler when i try to start it? I know my battery is good and my charging system is good as well. Thanks

I don't know - a good mechanic or electrician can figure it out in a short time - here's one thing you can do; when done riding, disconnect the battery negative cable - connect it the next time you want to start it and if the battery is dead, get a new properly activated fully charged battery and test the charging system thoroughly.
