So first you'll want to recharge the battery off the bike so you've got something to work with.
Then start the bike, put a multimeter on the battery terminals, and note the voltage at idle.
Then rev the engine and see if the voltage changes.
If the voltage increases significantly (to 13.5 or 14), then the bike is generating its own power. But based on what you said, it probably won't.
If the voltage does not increase when you rev the engine, then your generator is not producing power, or your voltage regulator is shot.
That's assuming your bike has both.
You'll want to do some research on your year/make/model to find out exactly what it has.
Then start replacing parts in your charging system, cheapest first, until the problem goes away.
Check all of your connections on those parts and your fuses first, because that's cheap and easy.
If doing the above does not help, then you'll either need to seek help on forums from someone more familiar with your specific bike, or take it to the shop for repairs.
