Installed New belt today on my 500, 1996 ( piece of cake!!). The bike has 1680 miles on it, the original belt was in just as good of shape as the new one. ( so I now have a good spare). The clutch is rubbing on the outer clutch cover when it is idleing, has a hole almost wore all the way through. I see Polaris has a substitute cover to replace the original one. Is the substitute larger- so that the clutch will not rub on it? Is this a common thing with Polaris? I am a first time owner and am going over this bike very carefully, up gradeing anything that I find that needs to be replaced.
Looking for any input others owners can offer?
thanks
