Good Morning America!

Yes it was quite here...

In February I started looking for a Sportsman 6x6, maybe some of you did read it.
A second hand one was sold on a wednesday before I could have a look on saturday....:((n)
I did asked a few dealers, no real chance if I order it in Feb. to get it before August.
The Dream Polaris was far away.....
I found at least one which was ordered in the EU Factory in Dec. and it was set on last week of Feb or first of
March.
More money that I wanted to spend, but OK, if I will it, I have to pay for it.
Then they pushed it on the end of march, next info was that they will start with building in the factory on 25.04. (A sunday????)
OK, they did made it last week and Friday it arrived at the dealer now, hope that they are honest.
During the next 2 weeks it will maybe arrive here.

It was nearby that the Polaris thing did end before it began……
BTW: Where does the name Big Boss come from? Springsteen or Elvis?
I‘m looking forward for the next 2 weeks, let‘s see what it will bring…..

Best Regards

Andreas

Andreas,

WE LIKE PICTURES!!!! Post pictures of your new toy when you get it! Best wishes and good luck.
Well the second thing I bought when I was 18 was a reflex camera Minolta XG 2, second hand, 2 weeks old (first thing was a motorbike, Honda CX500, second hand too)
It was a present for a wife, but she wanted something more simple. With 18 years money is real limited, but I could get this one for just 300 German Marks, new 1000.... It was with me 20 years before problems started.
Today I have a Nikon....
So if you want, I will do, maybe not in time always....

Regards

Andreas

Thank you - my grandfather and his brother immigrated to the US from Netherlands - we are now 4 generations. I have a Niece (3rd generation) living in Australia, a cousin (3rd generation) in Hawaii and my grand children live in Wisconsin and I live in Illinois - most of the family live in Illinois, but can be found in 30 of the 50 states.

Good Morning America!

Arly,
I don't think there are big differences between them.
One thing is the "better" Pasengers seat, AFAIK this change is from 2017 on....
OK, a few more pics:

If the rain stops, maybe I can do a few KM / Miles as a first test drive over the weekend!

Nice weekend to all and best regards.

Hello Big Boss!

First Test Drive today, engine is on "Run in Status" so I don't know how fast it can be.......
All in all: Everything is running softer as on the AC.
Power steering(y)
The "little" 570 engine runs more smoother then the 1000 2 cylinder. All in all, it is better to drive as I thought!
Even round the corner works with the 6 wheeler.
Display is interesting, can check voltage and engine temp.....

Here a few more pics:

Looks like mustard in the background???
Good Morning America!

@Arly: Now I had to use the translator, not for the mustard, for this:
It is rapeseed or canola, I found both words....
Most of it is used for rape oil.

Best Regards

Very handsome quad, Andreas. The pictures are very nice. Where in Germany are you located?

I have spent some time there. My work with automotive parts near BMW Spartanburg brought me to Bavaria several times over the years. A lovely country, with great people and great food. I have made lifelong friends with many native Germans here in the U.S.A.

My son lived near Spangdahlem for several years while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed his time in Germany very much, and traveled much of Western Europe to see all that it has to offer.

You have my best wishes with your new Big Boss.

Hello America, hello Polaris friends,

A few steps forward, a few news.
Big Boss has now 170 KM on the clock, runs fine!
"Run In Status" is not at the end which means that I do not use the main roads. I don't want to block the traffic.
What have I done all the time?
First we had a few days with rain, That is normal: I have a new toy and than the weather don't play the game.....
After a first short drive near to the trees and first scratches I decided to change some things......
First the paint of the "Yukon Rack", to good! Put some structure paint over it....
The "stepside" of the load space. Always in touch with branches, put some aluminium on it.
An a few other things...... See pictures in my next answere.

Regards

Andreas
