Hi guys
I ran a diagnostic check on my 500x2 efi and the blink code 55 flashed up which in the manual says
MIL Circuit :Open load/short -to-ground
MIL Circuit :shorted load/short-to-battery
Doese any one know what an MIL cicuit is or what MIL stands for.
much appreciated Duane

ive seen something very similar to this before. guy installed a winch and didnt tighten the (+) batt cable down so it was loose, and it generated a lot of heat in the electrical system...so his sportsman would shut down to protect itself. same symptoms that you are having

Howdy
I had a loose cable on the battery but I also took out the thermostat and the bike hasnt stopped since. will try a new thermostat cos it would only get half an hours riding and it would stop with the old one. so hopefuly Im on the right track to an outright fix.
