Hey all, just got a 96 425 2X4 and the brakes seem to be worthless, hand and foot levers have no resistance and dont spring back into place, I took a look tonight and think all the pads are shot, would new pads push the pistons back and create the spring back and pressure in the system after proper bleeding? Thanks!

You will have to push the pistons back in to install the new pads. I would suggest just replacing all the fluid with new, then bleed them. On a machine that old you may also consider replacing the rotors too.

If that does not work you may have to rebuild/replace the master cylinder.
